The Usability Club welcomes Gabriel
White, a Usability expert from Australia.
Effectively gathering user requirements
is a critical step in ensuring user interface designs meet user needs.
Different research techniques can be used to gather user requirements,
depending on the kind of information that is required.
Part 1 -

Gabriel will discuss different user research techniques, including surveys,
user interviews, focus groups, and field studies, and how information
gathered using these techniques can be used to drive the design process.

Biography:
Gabriel White was until recently a Senior Consultant with The Hiser Group
(www.hiser.com.au),
a respected Australian usability and design consultancy. While at Hiser
Gabriel worked with clients including AXA, Macquarie Bank, Telstra, Origin
Energy and the Australian Taxation Office. Gabriel has extensive design
experience, including design of a large-scale distributed content management
system, an online banking and share trading system, workflow management
systems and a large information-based extranet.
